WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM EYELID SURGERY?
Blepharoplasty does not directly lift the eyebrows, but the surgery does help your eyes look more open. This is due to the removal of the extra skin that currently hangs over the upper part of your eye. Our plastic surgeon may recommend an upper and/or lower blepharoplasty.
The incision for upper eyelid surgery is made in the natural crease at the top of your eyeball. After making the incision, the surgeon gently pulls the skin taut and trims the excess.
For lower eyelid surgery, the incision is typically made along the lower eyelash line. The excess skin is trimmed before the incisions are closed.
